These guidelines help protect volunteers, voters, and the campaign community while we work together. Read the Volunteer Handbook for the broader Slack code of conduct.
Anyone can join the volunteer Slack, and anything shared there could be made public. If you would not say something in front of someone you respect, do not post it in a public channel.
If you need to share your phone number or another way to contact you off Slack, send it in a direct message to the person who needs it. Do not post personal contact details in a public channel.
If you see a privacy concern or are unsure how to handle a situation, pause before sharing more information. Ask a volunteer captain or moderator for guidance. For Slack access problems, use the Slack troubleshooting form.
This page provides baseline guidance from the Volunteer Handbook. Team-specific training and campaign instructions take precedence when they provide more detailed direction.
