By participating in this community on Slack, you agree to follow these volunteer guidelines. They are designed to give us all the best experience possible while we give our time and talent to the Abdul for U.S. Senate campaign.
This is a quote some of you may know. It’s a basic mantra for how we plan to interact with each other and build the team that’s going to win this Senate seat.
We want everyone to know they are welcome and appreciated here. Most importantly, we are here to volunteer and help Abdul win the U.S. Senate. Here are some basic do’s and don’ts.
Remember, anyone can join this Slack. Anything you share here could be made public. If you wouldn’t say it in front of someone you respect, don’t do it here.
Your onboarding buddies are here for questions about processes, recurring meetings, and more. Use @ to mention teammates, then right-click their display name to change it to a card format.
Mark Crain is our Organizing Director, and you will see him during statewide organizing calls. Claire Wallace organizes student groups across Michigan. James is our Deputy Organizing Director and your go-to for all things GOTV-related. Natalya is our Distributed Organizing Manger; she organizes the “for Abdul” groups and remote volunteer outreach. Slack captains and mods are volunteers who can answer most questions about Slack and general volunteering.
