This is a volunteer-run guide to finding campaign actions, training, community spaces, and practical resources. It is the official Abdul for Senate volunteer wiki. Campaign pages linked here are the source of truth for current schedules, forms, and instructions.
Choose an action that fits your time and location: canvass in Michigan, make calls from anywhere through the phonebank. The resources page keeps these and other links together.
Yes. The canvassing hub includes group launches and training. Start there and follow the current instructions. If you are coming from outside Michigan, you can also request supporter housing.
The best way to help is to call voters! Those conversations really make a difference, even the ones who hang up. Check the phonebank page for updates; we will be phonebanking again soon.
Please fill out the Slack help troubleshooting form. The form and its directions fix most problems, and it adds you to our Slack Help Needed pipeline, where a skilled volunteer will reach out to you one-on-one.
Many volunteers were once in your shoes: nervous and unfamiliar. Once you try it a few times and have a great conversation, you will be in the flow and making a real impact. Next to face-to-face conversations, phone banking has the best impact according to the experts.
Read the action page before signing up. Most shifts begin with training or instructions. Do not share private voter or volunteer information in wiki comments or public channels.
Housing is a voluntary benefit offered by community hosts. Submit the housing request form with your dates and needs. A request is not a confirmed placement, and the campaign does not provide travel reimbursement or transportation through that form.
And if you live in Michigan, help us on the other side and host one of our passionate volunteers! Submit the housing support form.
Find your chapter by county, then join the volunteer community on Slack. If Slack gives you trouble, use the troubleshooting form.
No. We love that idea, but the campaign has spent a long time on strategy and finding the biggest ways to have an impact, and postcards did not make the cut. Having a phone call with a voter is much more impactful. If you would like to read more from our friends at Swing Left on why, please do! They have done a lot of public research on the topic.
We do need help with other projects that involve drawing; check out the #helpers-creatives channel in our volunteer Slack for more information. If you want to write postcards exclusively, many postcarding nonprofits would be happy to set you up. And we encourage to first and foremost, write postcards to people you know!
Abdul is an exciting candidate and has inspired a lot of enthusiasm from people in Michigan. That energy is how we won the primary! If you have a suggestion, we would love to hear about it through the campaign suggestion form, but we cannot promise you will get a response.
We will pass along the information to the correct staff member. Campaign staff will decide if it is relevant and move forward from there. Staff cannot reply to every email, but trust that it has been read and evaluated; it may not be the right time, or the matter may already have been discussed internally. Please email info@abdulforsenate.com with all the information and the reasons you think the contact could help.
Abdul has a broad stance on many issues. You can find them on Tools4Abdul. If something very specific is not there, use the campaign suggestion form and we will do our best to find and update it.

We work with a union print shop to make those orders happen. Contact the shop directly for anything regarding the online store through the webstore help page.
Love your enthusiasm! Since the campaign is not the one printing the shirts, the print shop requires a minimum order to make a new screen and print a new design. That number is in the thousands, so a new item needs enough people who would buy it. These decisions take time and go through the campaign, which weighs whether the risk is outweighed by the reward. Bring those ideas to the #creatives channel in Volunteer Slack; the team will decide whether to move them forward.
